AMD writing a check into its own biggest customer is the same playbook Nvidia already ran, which tells you the real constraint in this industry isn't capital anymore, it's who can actually secure a 2GW allocation years out. Anthropic just de-risked its single-vendor exposure to Nvidia at exactly the moment every other lab is realizing that's the more dangerous number to be wrong about than valuation.
