The comp I'd pull before underwriting this one is Hadrian's or Machina Labs' fundraising trajectory -- both are chasing the same 'SpaceX manufacturing discipline applied to a legacy metal industry' thesis, and the multiple that thesis commands has already compressed once investors realized certification timelines, not robotics capability, are the real bottleneck. Cincinnati is a genuinely smart location for labor cost and steel-industry proximity; whether 1872's software actually generalizes across weld types is the number to watch at the Series A.
