As of October 26, 2026, EAAA India Alternatives has opened a Rs 1,200 crore (about $126 million) IPO at a Rs 1,585-1,665 price band -- an offer for sale that sends every rupee to selling shareholder Edelweiss, not to the company.
EAAA India Alternatives Limited, the Mumbai-based alternative asset manager formerly known as Edelweiss Alternative Asset Advisors, filed its Red Herring Prospectus with the Registrar of Companies, SEBI, BSE and NSE on October 19, 2026, and opened its initial public offering on October 26, covering 72.07 lakh equity shares at a price band of Rs 1,585 to Rs 1,665 each, for a total issue size of Rs 1,200 crore -- roughly $126 million at the day's exchange rate -- according to Kotak Neo's reporting on the RHP filing and Trade Brains' reporting on the offer documents. The entire offering is a 100% book-built offer for sale by Edelweiss Securities and Investments Private Limited, EAAA's selling shareholder, with no fresh-issue component -- meaning the IPO raises no new capital for EAAA itself. Subscription closes October 28, 2026, and the stock is set to list on the NSE and BSE on Monday, November 2, 2026. Value Add VC first flagged the opening in Pulse coverage of the filing.

What Does EAAA India Alternatives Actually Manage?
EAAA was incorporated in May 2008 as Edelweiss Alternative Asset Advisors Limited and renamed EAAA India Alternatives Limited in August 2024, as part of the broader split of Edelweiss Group's asset-management businesses. Its roughly Rs 95,345 crore in total AUM as of June 30, 2026 spans real-assets strategies -- renewable energy, roads, power transmission and commercial real estate -- alongside private credit, with fee-paying AUM of about Rs 48,623 crore generating the revenue base this IPO is priced against. Its subsidiary, Sekura India Management Limited, is named in the offer documents without further detail disclosed in Trade Brains' reporting.
How Does EAAA Compare to Other Listed Asset Managers?
EAAA's FY26 revenue of Rs 869.54 crore is a fraction of HDFC AMC's Rs 4,122.16 crore or 360 ONE WAM's Rs 4,361.62 crore, placing it closer in scale to Anand Rathi Wealth among the India-listed peers Trade Brains cites in the offer documents -- though EAAA's own basic EPS of Rs 41.26 and 25.97% return on net worth sit mid-pack against that same peer set.
EAAA vs. Listed Peers: FY26 Revenue and RoNW
Trade Brains reporting on EAAA's offer documents, October 25, 2026
EAAA trails both peers on revenue scale and return on net worth, the two metrics the offer documents use to frame its IPO pricing.
What the headline misses
This is a proxy trade, not a growth story: because the offering is a pure offer for sale, EAAA itself receives none of the Rs 1,200 crore -- the money goes to Edelweiss Securities and Investments as the exiting shareholder, so the IPO funds no new strategy, hiring or fund launches at EAAA. Trade Brains also reported that no grey market premium was available ahead of subscription, an unusually thin pre-listing demand signal compared with IPOs that trade actively in the grey market for days beforehand. EAAA's own draft filing had aimed to raise Rs 1,500 crore, according to Outlook Money's reporting on the draft papers -- the final Rs 1,200 crore offer is roughly 20% smaller than that original target, worth watching as a signal of toned-down demand expectations going into the book-build. And EAAA's 25.97% return on net worth, while solid, lags Anand Rathi Wealth's 47.54% among the India-listed peers cited in the offer documents -- so investors are paying a listed-market multiple for a business that doesn't yet lead its peer set on the return metric that peer set is judged on.
The Bottom Line
EAAA India Alternatives opened a Rs 1,200 crore IPO on October 26, 2026 at a Rs 1,585-1,665 price band, entirely an offer for sale with no fresh capital reaching the company, ahead of a November 2 listing on NSE and BSE. The business itself is profitable and growing -- revenue climbed from Rs 492.58 crore to Rs 869.54 crore and profit after tax from Rs 175.16 crore to Rs 265.20 crore between FY24 and FY26, on roughly Rs 95,345 crore of AUM. But the listing is a liquidity event for Edelweiss as the selling shareholder, not a capital raise for EAAA, and its return on net worth still trails at least one listed peer in the same offer documents.
