Bending Spoons (Nasdaq: BSP) closed at a $32.1 billion market cap on October 14, 2026 โ up 41% on the day โ after Berkshire Hathaway disclosed a new $330 million stake on top of the $600 million it invested at the company's July IPO.
The Milan-based Bending Spoons has moved fast since going public: a $11 billion private round in October 2025, a Nasdaq IPO in July 2026, two billion-dollar acquisitions, and now a second Berkshire Hathaway investment, according to the company's own SEC filing.

What Is Bending Spoons' Valuation in 2026?
Bending Spoons raised $710 million in October 2025 โ $270 million primary and $440 million secondary โ at an $11 billion pre-money valuation, led by T. Rowe Price Investment Management with Baillie Gifford, Cox Enterprises, Durable Capital, Fidelity, Foxhaven and Radcliff participating, according to Bernama's reprint of the company's announcement. Nine months later, on June 30, 2026, Bending Spoons priced a Nasdaq IPO at $29 a share โ above its marketed $26-28 range โ raising $1.68 billion from roughly 58 million shares and implying a valuation near $18.4 billion, per TheNextWeb's coverage of the pricing. Shares began trading July 1 under ticker BSP and closed that first session up 38.24% at $40.09, per Il Sole 24 Ore's debut-day report, which put the valuation above $24 billion once the pop was priced in. BSP shares have continued to climb since: the stock closed at $53.46 on October 14, 2026, up 41.2% on the day, for a market cap of about $32.1 billion, according to StockAnalysis.
Berkshire Hathaway's Second Bending Spoons Investment
Berkshire Hathaway is not new to Bending Spoons' cap table: it invested $600 million at the company's July 2026 IPO. On October 14, 2026, Bending Spoons disclosed a new $330 million private placement โ 10 million newly issued ordinary shares at $33.00 each โ that brings Berkshire's total stake to about 4% of the company, according to Bending Spoons' own SEC Form 6-K, filed from Milan. Adding the two checks together, Berkshire has now put in roughly $930 million for that 4% stake โ by our calculation, that pairing implies a company valuation near $23 billion, notably below the $32.1 billion market cap BSP closed at the same day, a gap this filing does not explain.
Two Billion-Dollar Acquisitions Since the IPO
Bending Spoons' model is buying and operating consumer and productivity software rather than building new products from scratch, and it has kept acquiring since going public. On August 4, 2026, it agreed to buy Airtable for $1.28 billion in cash โ Airtable had about $480 million in annual recurring revenue, growing over 20% year over year, according to TechCrunch's report on the deal, a roughly 80% discount to Airtable's $11 billion valuation from its December 2021 Series F. On September 10, 2026, Bending Spoons agreed to buy Miro for a $1.355 billion enterprise value (about $1.79 billion including Miro's net cash); Miro had roughly $600 million in ARR, nearly 90% from business and enterprise customers, per Bending Spoons' SEC filing on the Miro deal, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. Both deals follow the company's established pattern: buy software businesses at a steep discount to their last private valuation, then run them for cash flow rather than growth-at-all-costs.

What the headline misses
A 41% single-day pop is a loud number, but it also means buying BSP today means paying a steep premium to the $33.00-a-share price Berkshire itself just agreed to pay in a private placement announced that same day โ a gap of more than 60%. Bending Spoons' own filing doesn't explain the share-price move, so this piece treats the placement and the pop as two things that happened on the same date, not one causing the other. The stock is also volatile: BSP has a beta well above 1 and traded as low as the low-$30s earlier in October before the jump, per aggregator data, so a single day's close is a thin base for a durable valuation read.
The Bottom Line
Bending Spoons closed October 14, 2026 at a $32.1 billion market cap, up 41% on the day, the same day it disclosed Berkshire Hathaway's new $330 million private placement on top of the $600 million Berkshire put in at the July IPO. That's nearly 3x the $11 billion valuation from its October 2025 private round and roughly 75% above its $18.4 billion IPO pricing โ a fast climb for a company that has spent the months since going public buying Airtable and Miro rather than slowing down.
