Analysis
Metaview Labs has raised $60 million in Series C funding led by Insight Partners, with participation from GV, Intrepid Growth Partners, Seedcamp, Vertex Ventures US, Plural and Garuda Ventures, according to Pulse 2.0. The AI recruiting-software company told SiliconANGLE that the hiring industry is ready for its own "Claude Code moment" -- a reference to coding agents' leap from autocomplete to autonomous task execution.
What Metaview Does
Metaview builds software that sits inside the recruiting workflow, using AI to handle note-taking, interview summaries and candidate screening so human recruiters spend less time on administrative work and more on judgment calls. The "Claude Code moment" framing is a bet that recruiting software is about to make the same jump coding tools did: from passive assistance to agents that execute multi-step hiring tasks on their own.
The Competitive Field
AI recruiting and hiring-automation has drawn a wave of venture capital in 2026 as companies look to cut the cost of sourcing and screening candidates; the category includes applicant-tracking incumbents layering on AI features as well as newer entrants building agent-native tools from scratch. Insight Partners leading the round -- a firm with a long enterprise-SaaS track record -- is itself a signal that investors see this as a durable enterprise software category rather than a feature an ATS platform absorbs for free.
The Counterweight
However, "Claude Code moment" is Metaview's own framing, not an independent assessment, and recruiting software has a long history of over-promising on automation while delivering incremental workflow improvements instead -- the test will be whether Metaview's agents can actually make hiring decisions end-to-end or merely summarize interviews faster, a much smaller claim. The company hasn't disclosed revenue, user counts or its post-money valuation in this round, so the $60 million says more about investor conviction than about proven product-market fit at scale.
What to Watch
Whether Metaview publishes usage or revenue figures to back the "Claude Code moment" claim, and whether Insight Partners' enterprise distribution muscle helps it land large employer logos faster than recruiting-tech rivals without a growth-stage backer.
