The Fall IPO Pipeline, By the Numbers

237 IPOs have priced in the US so far in 2026, up 3% from this point last year -- but August was a pause, and the real test is whether Anthropic, DeepSeek, Nscale and Kakao Mobility actually price in the weeks ahead.

Four IPO paths converging on the same six weeks -- Anthropic, Nscale, Kakao Mobility, and DeepSeek on its own track -- is the calendar every allocator should have marked, but Lyntris pricing below range and dropping 10% is the more useful data point right now. It says the market is still discriminating hard on quality even inside a supposedly hot IPO year, which is exactly the environment where a mega-cap AI listing prices well while smaller, less differentiated names keep getting punished.

Analysis

The US has seen 237 IPOs price so far in 2026, up about 3% from the same point in 2025, according to year-to-date tracking -- a number that looks steady on its face but obscures a genuinely quiet August. Pricings slowed to a trickle through the month while filings kept piling up, the pattern market-watchers call the "annual August pause": bankers use the month to prep deals rather than launch them into thin summer trading volume. The one name that did price, Lyntris (NYSE: LYNX), a defense-sensing company, came in below its range the week of Aug. 20 and ended the day down 10% -- not the kind of debut that pulls other issuers off the sidelines early.

What's actually stacking up behind that quiet month is a genuinely large fall calendar:

  • Nscale โ€” the London-based AI infrastructure company is telling prospective investors it holds roughly $51 billion in total contracted revenue and is targeting a US listing as soon as September, per Bloomberg, working with Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan. Pulse previously covered Nscale.
  • Kakao Mobility โ€” filed confidential IPO documents targeting a roughly $1 billion US listing, with Bank of America, Morgan Stanley and UBS running the process
  • Anthropic โ€” the path with the most capital riding on it: a confidential S-1 already filed, a public prospectus reveal expected after Labor Day (Sept. 7), and a reported valuation near $965 billion
  • DeepSeek โ€” working a different exchange and timeline entirely, targeting a 2027 debut on Shanghai's STAR Market, with a fresh $7.4 billion funding round reportedly nearing a close first

Four names, four different markets, four different timelines, all converging on the same few months. Whether September actually delivers the volume the filing calendar implies, or whether Lyntris's soft debut is a preview of a market still pickier than issuers are hoping, is the question the next six weeks will answer.

Salesforce's stock jumped as much as 23% on its own earnings this week, and its Anthropic stake gained $2.6 billion in the process -- the clearest market-priced signal yet of what a strategic bet on a frontier lab is actually worth.
