Peregrine Technologies has raised $470 million across three disclosed funding rounds, reaching a $6.8 billion valuation in its $250 million Series D on June 22, 2026 โ up from a $2.5 billion valuation at its Series C just 15 months earlier, according to the company's own Series D announcement.

Peregrine Technologies Funding History: Round by Round
Peregrine first disclosed a $30 million Series B on May 9, 2024, led by Friends & Family Capital and Fifth Down Capital, with Goldcrest Capital, Craft Ventures, and Godfrey Capital also participating. At the time, Crunchbase put the company's total funding at $60 million, implying roughly $30 million in earlier, undisclosed capital before the Series B, according to Government Technology's coverage of the round. At that point, Peregrine's software was in use by more than 40 state, regional, and local agencies covering upward of 25 million people.
Ten months later, on March 4, 2025, Peregrine closed a $190 million Series C led by Sequoia Capital at a $2.5 billion post-money valuation, with Goldcrest Capital, Friends & Family Capital, Fifth Down Capital, and O.G. Venture Partners participating, per Peregrine's own Series C announcement.
Then, on June 22, 2026, Peregrine closed a $250 million Series D at a $6.8 billion post-money valuation โ an all-existing-investor round with no single lead named, backed by Fifth Down Capital, Sequoia Capital, O.G. Venture Partners, Goldcrest Capital, XYZ Ventures, and Godfrey Capital. By then, the company reported more than 450 employees across San Francisco, Washington DC, New York City, Toronto, and London, serving more than 400 agencies and organizations across North America that cover over 125 million people โ roughly double its customer base from a year earlier.
What Peregrine Actually Sells
Peregrine builds a data-integration and analytics platform that connects data governments already hold โ police records, 911 dispatch logs, licensing databases, sensor feeds, and emergency-management systems โ into a single, searchable, real-time view. The company has been explicit that the platform itself doesn't collect or hold the underlying data; it's a layer that unifies and surfaces data agencies already have, which has helped it avoid some of the data-privacy scrutiny that has followed other public-safety-data vendors.
Use cases span crime-trend analysis, block-level crime breakdowns, integrated emergency management, real-time alerts to first responders, and even officer-wellness monitoring. Peregrine was founded in San Francisco in 2018 by CEO Nick Noone and CTO Ben Rudolph. See Value Add VC's Peregrine hub for continuing coverage.
How $6.8B Compares to Other Government-Data Companies
Peregrine's valuation is still a fraction of the public-market giants in government data and defense, but its growth rate โ 2.7x in 15 months โ outpaces most of them over the same window.

How we counted: Peregrine's three disclosed private rounds plus the most recent valuation or market cap available for three public-safety and government-data peers, each independently dated; 6 companies/rounds; as of October 13, 2026. What the headline misses
A $6.8 billion valuation on an all-existing-investor round is a different signal than a new-money round: when Fifth Down Capital, Sequoia, O.G. Venture Partners, Goldcrest, XYZ Ventures, and Godfrey all re-up without a new outside lead, it means the existing cap table is comfortable marking the company up โ not that a fresh set of investors independently underwrote the price. Peregrine's own announcement frames the round partly as a liquidity opportunity for employees, which is also typically a sign of a maturing, pre-IPO company rather than one urgently needing growth capital.
Peregrine doesn't disclose revenue, ARR, or profitability figures in any of the sources reviewed for this piece, so the valuation is being judged against customer counts (400+ agencies, 125 million people covered) rather than a known revenue multiple. Selling software that touches police records and 911 data also carries real reputational and regulatory risk that a lighter public-safety vendor wouldn't face โ the company's repeated emphasis that it "doesn't collect or hold" the underlying data is a direct response to that scrutiny, not an incidental detail.
CEO Nick Noone said no IPO decision has been made, even though the company is reportedly building internal infrastructure that could support one โ a common pre-IPO signal, but not a commitment to a public listing on any particular timeline.
The bottom line:
Peregrine Technologies has raised $470M across three disclosed rounds, reaching a $6.8B valuation in June 2026 โ a 2.7x jump from its Series C just 15 months earlier, on an all-existing-investor round with no disclosed revenue figures.
