What it checks
One fetch of your page plus robots.txt and llms.txt. Every result links to the guide that explains it.
- robots.txt per AI bot
- Allowed or blocked for this URL, for training, search and user-triggered bots, with the rule that decided it.
- noindex / nosnippet / max-snippet
- From the robots meta tag and the X-Robots-Tag header. These control what Google shows, AI Overviews included.
- llms.txt
- Whether /llms.txt exists. Google Search ignores it; some AI tools read it.
- JSON-LD types
- Every schema.org @type found, and any block that isn't valid JSON.
- Server-rendered text
- Words in the HTML before JavaScript, to catch JavaScript-only pages.
- Canonical
- Self-referencing, pointing elsewhere, missing or duplicated.
- og:image
- Present, with its declared size.

FAQ
What does the AI visibility checker check?
It fetches your page, its robots.txt and its llms.txt once, then reports: whether each of 33 AI crawlers and fetchers is allowed by robots.txt for that URL; noindex, nosnippet, max-snippet and noarchive in the robots meta tag or X-Robots-Tag header; whether llms.txt exists; the JSON-LD types on the page; how much text is in the HTML before JavaScript runs; the canonical URL; and the declared og:image.
Is this an AI visibility score from Google or ChatGPT?
No. Neither Google nor any AI company publishes a visibility score. This is a technical readiness check: it shows what crawlers are allowed to fetch and what they will find. Whether a page is actually cited depends on the content and each system's ranking.
Why does server-rendered text matter for AI search?
Crawlers that don't execute JavaScript only see the HTML your server sends. If the text is added later by JavaScript, those crawlers see an almost empty page. The checker counts the words in the raw HTML so you can spot JavaScript-only pages.
Do I need an llms.txt file?
Not for Google. Google's AI optimization guide says Google Search ignores llms.txt, so it neither helps nor hurts there. Some other AI tools read it. The checker reports it as information, never as a pass or fail.
Does it use AI to analyze my page?
No. Every check is a deterministic rule, so the same page gives the same result. Results are cached for 10 minutes per URL and checks are limited to 20 per hour per visitor.
Can it check any website?
Any public http or https URL. Private, local and internal addresses are refused, every redirect is re-checked, pages over 2 MB are cut off and slow sites time out. Sites that block automated requests may not return a result.
