Ropedia, a Singapore-based startup building data infrastructure for physical AI and robotics, raised $22 million in a new pre-A funding round, bringing its total funding to $30 million after an earlier $8 million round in March 2026.
The company's core product is HOMIE, a wearable, head-mounted device that simultaneously records first-person video, audio, depth, hand movements, gaze, body motion and camera position, with every data stream timestamped so robotics developers can correlate perception and physical movement in real time -- the kind of high-fidelity human-motion data that's difficult to source at scale any other way.

Ropedia plans to use the new capital to expand data collection across Southeast Asia and North America, scale production and deployment of HOMIE devices, and advance its own AI research and data platform, positioning the company as a specialized supplier into the broader physical-AI training-data pipeline rather than a robotics company itself.
The round lands squarely inside the same robotics funding wave that produced Travis Kalanick's $1.7 billion Atoms round and Toyota-backed Walden Robotics' $300 million stealth launch earlier this month -- global robotics funding has already topped $55.8 billion in 2026. Ropedia's bet is that as robotics capital concentrates in the companies building the machines, a parallel opportunity exists in the layer supplying the human-motion data those machines need to actually learn.
For early-stage investors, data-infrastructure plays like Ropedia are a lower-capital-intensity way to get exposure to the physical-AI boom without competing directly against billion-dollar robotics rounds.
