Analysis
Nine companies filed fresh S-1 registration statements with the SEC in the 48 hours ending Oct. 6, 2026, according to Value Add Pulse's tracking of SEC filing activity โ a reminder that the IPO pipeline runs far wider than the handful of marquee names that make headlines. The batch included Fusemachines, the New York enterprise-AI company registering shares for resale, and Winklevoss Asset Services' proposed Zcash ETF, alongside biotech names like Pluri Inc. and Actuate Therapeutics and the blank-check vehicle Tang Capital Acquisition Corp.
Eight more companies filed S-1/A amendments or priced via 424B4 in the same window, including Allarity Acquisition Corp, GridAI Technologies, which amended its S-1 on Oct. 6 โ its fourth amendment since July โ as its energy-AI pivot continues, and Pine Tree Acquisition Corp, which priced its 424B4 Oct. 6.

The mix is a useful corrective to how the IPO pipeline gets covered: most weeks, coverage concentrates on the handful of mega-deals like Firmus or DayOne targeting multibillion-dollar raises, while the actual SEC docket is dominated by small-cap issuers, resale registrations and blank-check SPACs that rarely get individual coverage. Most S-1 filings in any given window don't result in a completed, fully-priced IPO within the year โ plenty stall in SEC review, get withdrawn, or wait out unfavorable market conditions. The filing count is a leading indicator of issuer appetite, not a reliable forecast of completed deal volume. (See Pulse's live funding tracker for the current tally.)
