Flourish, a New York startup co-founded by Internet Explorer creator and CTRL-labs founder Thomas Reardon, raised $500 million at a $2.5 billion valuation to build brain-inspired AI -- with Jeff Bezos nearly doubling his check to roughly $100 million. Its 'Cortex AI' aims to map real neurons and run models at laptop-level power, attacking AI's energy crisis at the architecture level.
Open-source backend platform Supabase raised a $500 million Series F at a $10.5 billion valuation led by GIC, doubling its value in eight months. The growth is being driven by AI coding tools -- databases deployed are up 600% year-over-year, with Claude Code now its single largest source of new instances and AI agents spinning up the majority of them.
Healthcare AI platform Commure raised $70M led by General Catalyst, with Sequoia and Morgan Stanley in, at a $7B valuation. Its agents now run inside 500+ health systems across 3,000+ care sites, attacking the ~$1T a year US healthcare spends on administrative work.
Spend-management company Ramp raised $750 million in a Series F at a $44 billion valuation, led by Iconiq, GIC and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan -- nearly tripling its valuation in a year. With annualized revenue past $1 billion and 70,000+ customers, Ramp has become the marquee example of investors paying up for fintechs that have credibly bolted on AI.
Flourish, co-founded by Internet Explorer creator Thomas Reardon, closed a $500M round at a $2.5B valuation on June 4 to build 'Cortex AI' — an architecture emulating real neuron connectomics and targeting 20-50 watt operation (a laptop, not a server rack). Jeff Bezos personally committed close to $100M; Lux Capital, GV and Catalio Capital joined.
Data security posture management leader Cyera raised $600 million at a $12 billion valuation on June 2, doubling its mark from January and quadrupling since late 2024. Evolution Equity Partners led with Temasek, Cyberstarts, Accel, AT&T Ventures, Blackstone and Coatue participating — cementing Cyera as the runaway DSPM category leader.
