THE RUNDOWN

1

Archera's Series C is smaller than its 2024 Series B, a sign the company is raising smaller, more targeted rounds as it scales rather than chasing a bigger mark.

2

The $700M-in-savings and 2,200-customer figures give Archera a rare concrete ROI metric in a cloud-cost category that usually sells on promised, not delivered, savings.

3

Its Guaranteed Commitments product is backed by an actual insurance policy from Crum & Forster, a structural detail that differentiates it from dashboard-only competitors like CloudZero and Finout.

4

A $5.44B cloud-cost-management market growing near 18% a year, per Fortune Business Insights, gives Archera's thesis real tailwind independent of this specific round.

A Series C that's smaller than the Series B before it is the detail worth underwriting against: it can mean capital efficiency, as Pivot's Jetley frames it, or it can mean Archera couldn't price a bigger round at a valuation it wanted. Ask for the cap table math on the $700M savings claim specifically, whether that's gross cloud-provider discount captured or Archera's own realized revenue share, before taking the growth story at face value.

Analysis

Archera has raised $15 million in Series C funding led by Pivot Investment Partners, the company said, after its cloud cost-optimization platform delivered more than $700 million in savings to over 2,200 organizations, according to the company's announcement. Existing investor HighSage Ventures also participated in the round.

What Archera does

Archera, founded in 2019 by brothers Aran Khanna and Nikhil Khanna, sells cloud cost-optimization tools built around what it calls Guaranteed Commitments: products that let companies capture the savings of long-term cloud discount plans from AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud while cutting the actual commitment term to as short as 30 days. The guarantees are backed by a surplus-lines insurance policy from Crum & Forster Specialty Insurance Company, a structural choice that lets Archera absorb the risk a cloud provider's multi-year discount would otherwise require a customer to carry directly. CEO Aran Khanna has described the pitch as a new way to purchase cloud rather than another spend-visibility dashboard. As of a 2024 TechCrunch report, Archera employed around 22 people in Bellevue, Washington and generated roughly $7 million in annual revenue on about 400 customers; the company now says it manages roughly $5.6 billion in annual cloud and AI spending across its customer base, which includes PubNub, Art.com and Astronomer.

Archera funding history

Archera's disclosed rounds, oldest first:

“HighSage Ventures, which led the 2024 Series B, returned as a participant rather than leading again.”

  • Series B (Jul 2024) -- $17M led by HighSage Ventures, with Ridge Ventures, Amplify Partners and PSL Ventures participating; brought total funding to $27.5M. Source
  • Series C (Oct 29, 2026) -- $15M led by Pivot Investment Partners, with HighSage Ventures returning as a participant. Source

The new round, coming roughly 15 months after the Series B, is smaller than the round that preceded it, a sequencing that is unusual for a company moving up round letters -- most Series C rounds are larger than the Series B before them, not smaller.

Who invested in Archera

Pivot Investment Partners led the new Series C; the firm's co-founder and managing partner Dinkar Jetley said Archera "has built a capital-efficient and differentiated business," a direct reference, per Pulse's reading of the announcement, to the company's customer-savings and revenue figures rather than growth alone. HighSage Ventures, which led the 2024 Series B, returned as a participant rather than leading again. Series B-era backers Ridge Ventures, Amplify Partners and PSL Ventures were not named as participants in the new round, based on the company's disclosure.

Cloud cost-management market and competitors

The global cloud cost-management software market was valued at $5.44 billion in 2025 and is forecast to grow at a compound annual rate of 17.85%, according to Fortune Business Insights, which also names CloudZero, Finout, nOps, Flexera, Yotascale and Zesty as competitors in the space. A CloudZero survey cited by TechCrunch found 58% of respondents said their cloud costs were too high, the underlying pain point Archera's commitment-guarantee model is built to address. Unlike most of its named competitors, which primarily sell visibility and recommendation dashboards, Archera's insurance-backed guarantee structure is a genuine product difference rather than a UI one, though it also means Archera is underwriting commitment risk directly, a model that has not been stress-tested through a sustained cloud-pricing downturn. Pulse's own funding tracker shows cloud and AI-infrastructure spend tooling has become one of the more consistently funded enterprise-software categories this year, alongside agent evaluation and observability.

What to watch next

Watch whether Archera's next disclosed round returns to the larger-than-Series-B pattern typical of later-stage companies, and whether its claimed $5.6 billion in managed cloud and AI spend converts into a disclosed valuation -- the company has not stated one for either the Series B or this Series C.
