Six new S-1 filings hit the IPO pipeline

Read the fine print before calling this an IPO wave: four of six are resale or follow-on filings from companies already public, not new debuts. The two real IPO filings are both blank-check SPACs, which tells you where risk appetite actually sits right now -- sponsors betting on a future deal, not operating companies betting on today's market. Watch GigCapital10's eventual pricing; if it comes in small, that's a soft open for the SPAC market, not a reopening.

Analysis

The IPO pipeline quietly filled back up on August 10 with six SEC filings, though the mix skews more toward SPACs and existing-company registrations than fresh operating-company debuts.

  • FTC Solar Inc -- solar tracker manufacturer (Nasdaq: FTCI); filed to register additional resale shares tied to a new equity line of credit, not a fresh IPO.
  • Curis Inc -- clinical-stage oncology biotech (Nasdaq: CRIS); filed an S-1 reflecting its recent reverse stock split, registering shares tied to its most recent annual and quarterly filings, per SEC EDGAR.
  • GigCapital10 Corp -- new blank-check SPAC seeking an IPO of units priced at $10.00 each, bundling one Class A ordinary share and a right to a fractional share on an eventual merger, per SEC EDGAR.
  • Gores Holdings XII Inc -- the Gores Group's next blank-check vehicle, following a series of prior Gores-sponsored SPAC IPOs.
  • ClearOne Inc -- audio and video conferencing technology company (Nasdaq: CLRO); filed a resale S-1 tied to a pending corporate transaction.
  • Janus Living Inc -- senior-housing REIT (NYSE: JAN) managing a multi-community portfolio; filed a follow-on registration after its June public offering.

“- ClearOne Inc -- audio and video conferencing technology company (Nasdaq: CLRO); filed a resale S-1 tied to a pending corporate transaction.”

Four of the six are resale, follow-on, or shelf filings from companies already public; only GigCapital10 and Gores Holdings XII represent genuinely new IPO registrations, and both are blank-check SPACs rather than operating businesses.
